Welcome to AssamCat
AssamCat is a subset of INFLIBNET’s (Information and Library Network Centre- an Autonomous Inter-University Centre -IUC of University Grants Commission, Minsitry of Education, Government of Indi ) IndCat created in collaboration with Assam College Librarians’ Association (ACLA) (https://www.acla.org.in/). The AssamCat contains bibliographic records of the documents available in the college libraries across the state of Assam. AssamCat has been aimed to facilitate cooperative cataloguing and resource sharing in college libraries of the state of Assam. It provides facility to download bibliographic records in standardized formats such as MARC21 and BibTeX. It was launched by the Director of INFLIBNET centre Prof Devika P Madalli on 19th August, 2025, at National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam. ACLA has proposed to INFLIBNET centre for creating an online common catalogue of college libraries. INFLIBNET with their expertise and infrastructure made reality to the ACLA’s request. The Assam College Librarians’ Association (ACLA) collects the data from different colleges through its ICT Cell and submits it to the INFLIBNET centre.
